1 – Parachutes – “Of Sleep”

“A few years ago, I had the pleasure of seeing Sigur Ros play in Seattle. Parachutes were the opening band, and they completely blew me away. They seemed to have touched on everything that I loved about the newest Sigur Ros record; unabashed joy, and positivity in their music and performance. They’ve since broken up, sadly, but this video, and the two that accompany it, really showcase the band well.”

“This video makes me want to make a Soul/R&B record. Chaz is such an inspiring guy, and I think this video shows off the fact his talents as a musician and songwriter far surpass the somewhat debilitating “chillwave” label.”

3 – Baths – “Apologetic Shoulder Blades”

“I’ve just started e-mailing with Will from Baths, because after seeing this video, I HAD to start chatting production with him. I’m figuring out my live show right now, and seeing this was a HUGE inspiration..”

4 – The Presets – “If I know you”

“This video/song completely floors me. The video has such an amazing power to it; the importance of dance is beautifully shown here. I know it touches on this “Foot Loose” vibe of dancing as rebellion, and I guess it might be a bit cheesy because of that, but I try not to let that way of thinking get the best of me. To me, this video is a great example of being a teenager, and finding peace in doing something that so many people look down upon.”
