Not quite a music video although it is musical, not really educational but you can’t help smiling when you hear Pretty Purdie drum, he’s the most recorded drummer in the world yet clearly still excited about what he does.

2 – Bomb the Bass ft Fujiya & Miyagi – “Butterfingers”

Simplicity is often the best way forward when it comes to music videos and you don’t get much simpler that this, the magical groovebox is the cutest thing on earth, and it doesn’t hurt that the song is wondrous to.

3 – El-P – “Stepfather Factory”

Weirdly the first time i saw this video it was on a screen in Top Shop, not a clue how they cleared it but there i was shopping with my then partner and POW there’s El-P scaring the hell out of the shoppers. Really into the varying styles of animation through the video and love just how cinematic it is.

1 – P.O.S. – Purexed

2009 was the year of P.O.S for me. I really got into his album Never Better and loved all the youtube vids he had so it was hard to pick just one of them. They’re always very creative. This one builds really nicely and has a very un-hip-hop feel to it which i liked.

2 – Polysics – Blackout Fallout

I have equal levels of love and fear for this video. And thats exactly how it should be. When Polysics or Die came out i saw them three times within one weird little month and they were always amazing Live. All broken english and rock n roll stances. I liked this video best as at the start i thought it was just using stock footage. It soon becomes apparent that they are not…

3 – James Brown – Its a mans world

I would say that this is my most watched video on youtube. I guess its more about the performance than anything snazzy in the vid but when the look and sound is that good, you dont need much else.
